Interviewer (Part-Time, Virtual)

ePraxis (www.ePraxis.com) is a premier level executive search and executive coaching company that operates virtually throughout North America.  Our value to our clients in 'retained search' is our deep experience and successful track record of identifying, sourcing, and capturing 'difference making' top talent for positions of CEO, President, General Manager, COO, CFO, CTO, CIO, CMO, VP Sales and Marketing, VP Sales, General Counsel, and other senior level positions, etc.

Our executive search demand continues to grow and we are in need additional virtually based, part-time, interviewers for our company. Our typical client engagement for executive search involves the creation of a detailed job analysis and behavioral job description, followed by systematic sourcing of candidates from multiple talent pools and sourcing methods to fill funnels of talent for our engaged searches.  Once sourcing for talent is completed, our team subsequently screens, interviews, tests, and selects top talent for placement in our clients companies.  We have a team of professionally trained and highly capable phone and video interviewers distributed throughout the United States who operate virtually on a part-time basis from their homes or offices. With the growing demand for our company's retained search services, we desire to increase our bench strength of additional virtually-based, part-time, interviewers who will continue to remotely conduct phone screen interviews, video interviews, background interviews, and other analytical support services on an as needed basis from their own homes or offices without need of travel or relocation. The interviews can be scheduled to be completed by the interviewer during the day, evening, and/or weekends, and other times scheduled to accommodate the interviewer and job candidates availablity.

Here is an example of a typical on-demand phone interviewer project assignment.  ePraxis is retained by our client to conduct a search for a C-level position (e.g., President, COO, CFO, CTO etc.).  ePraxis' management team works with the client to complete a job analysis of the target position, and subsequently ePraxis prepares a behavioral job description and uploads the position description to our automated Applicant Tracking System (ATS); the position description is subsequently launched by ePraxis to online job boards and social media  (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Monster, Indeed, SimplyHired, Glassdoor, etc); ePraxis' recruiters source additional prospective candidates contacting inviting them individually to apply for the open executive position.  A talent funnel is formed and filled for each engaged search.  When the candidate talent funnel reaches the target size (typically 64-100+ candidates per retained search), the candidate pool is screened by our senior HR recruiting team. At this point, an ePraxis manager notifies our team of remotely based interviewers to determine who is currently available to phone interview talent in the next several days; all immediately available phone interviewers are identified, and assignments are distributed by the ePraxis manager to our interviewer team.

Once an interviewer is assigned to an executive search engagement (typically 4-10 phone interviews), the interviewer is sent a detailed search description containing: the executive position job description, client company overview and website address, answers to frequently asked candidate questions, and the list of questions to be asked of each candidate, and the slate of candidates to be contacted and interviewed. The interviewer contacts all their slate of candidates by ATS email or phone to schedule phone or video interviews.  ePraxis' average candidate phone screen interview has 7-25+ questions and can be typically completed within 20-45+ minutes.   Next, at the mutually agreeable scheduled time, interviews are conducted live by our remote interviewers -- and with the permission of the candidate -- the interviews are also simultaneously recorded by the interviewer in MP3 audio for future playback by our selection committee; the phone interviewer thoughtfully reads the script for each question to the candidate, and the interviewer listens carefully to each candidate answer, and the interviewer enters the most important information provided by the candidate into our ATS. Following the interviews, the Interviewer prepares their own notes on the slate of candidates interviewed, they rank order their slate of candidates from best fit to worst fit, and they provide their own professional observations of the candidate goodness of fit for the position.  Subsequently, the interviewer prepares the candidate interview audio recordings for upload to our ePraxis online candidate information archive.  Finally, the interviewer sends in a timesheet noting their hours worked by specific task on this assignment to the ePraxis manager; the interviewer assignment is completed.  Quality control is conducted by the ePraxis manager to review the audio recordings and notes made by the interviewers in the candidates ATS files, and management makes after-action comments and improvement suggestions to the interviewer to improve their work performance in subsequent engagements.

Our most successful interviewers have the following behavioral attributes and core competencies:

Professional -- pleasant voice and demonstrated professionalism on the interview calls and written communication with the candidate and team.  You also have the ability to keep the interview on track, redirecting the candidate to answer the specific questions asked in a timely manner.

Good listener -- asks good questions and listens intently, observing verbal and non-verbal communication, and recording the most important observations in your notes inside our ATS candidate application.

Attention to detail -- providing sufficient detail in your candidate interview write-ups that our candidate selection committee can get to to the heart of the candidate's answers to questions and their concerns; with the interviewer writing clearly, concisely, and without exaggeration.

Calm Urgency -- all of our assignments are engagements are time sensitive, and you have the ability to complete tasks calmly, and urgently, with a sense of deliberate action and purpose, without creating a flurry of fuss, firestorms, or fire alarm pulling, etc.

Customer Service orientation.  You understand that you are conducting a service, and while we are engaged by a client to conduct the search, our every contact and impression speaks volumes about our company and our clients, so therefore we are fully focused on engaging interviewers that are customer service focused.

Computer savvy -- must be able to use the internet proficiently, have access to a PC computer with internet browser, MS Office, MS Excel, and MS Powerpoint; must be able to search online for candidate background information on sites such as Linkedin, Google, client websites, and use our Applicant Tracking System.

High degree of emotional intelligence -- our best interviewers are emotionally intelligent and are able to "be aware of, control, and express one's emotions, and to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and empathetically."

Discerner -- our best interviewers have a high degree of discernment and self-awareness, and are able to listen to candidates words and observe non-verbal communication cues, such as candidate emotion, anxiety, fear, deception, and outright lying; our best interviewers are those who can see and interpret nuances in the applicants background and replies that might otherwise go unnoticed.
